Privacy Policy

Stylark ("we", "the app") is an AI styling app that builds an outfit around a clothing item you photograph. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.
Who we are
Stylark is operated by Ross Rudolph. Questions: hello@stylark.app.
Information we collect
Photos you upload. When you build an outfit, the photo you choose is sent to our server and on to our AI providers so the item can be identified and the look generated. We do not store your photo on our servers after the request completes. Generated images and the outfits themselves are stored on your device, not on our servers.
Approximate location (optional). If you enable weather-aware styling, the app reads your device location and sends the coordinates to a weather service to fetch current conditions. We store only the resulting summary (for example "74°F, clear") for the duration of the request. Location is never collected unless you turn this feature on, and you can turn it off at any time.
A device identifier. We generate a random identifier for your device and store it in your device's secure storage. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or advertising profile. We use it only to count your free daily outfit, track purchased credits, and restore your purchases.
Usage and purchase records. We record how many outfits you have generated and what you have purchased, tied to that identifier.
Timezone offset. So your daily allowance resets at 7:00 a.m. your time.
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers. We do not use third-party analytics or ad networks.
Third parties who process your data
- Anthropic (Claude) — receives your uploaded photo and the styling request to identify the item and build the outfit.
- Google (Gemini) — receives your uploaded photo and outfit description to generate the look images.
- Open-Meteo — receives approximate coordinates to return current weather, only when weather styling is enabled.
- Apple / Google — process in-app purchases. We never see your payment details.
Affiliate links
Stylark participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program. When you tap "Shop this", you are taken to Amazon in your browser and we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon may set cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy once you arrive on its site; we do not control or receive that information, and we do not share your personal data with Amazon.
How long we keep data
Usage and purchase records are kept while your device identifier remains active. Photos are not retained after a request completes. Saved looks and favourites live on your device and are deleted when you delete them or remove the app.
Your choices
- Location: decline or revoke at any time in your device settings; the app works fully without it.
- Camera and photos: access is only requested when you add an item.
- Notifications: optional, and can be turned off in device settings.
- Deleting your data: contact hello@stylark.app and we will delete the records associated with your device identifier. Deleting the app removes all looks stored on your device.
Children
Stylark is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top will change and material updates will be announced in the app.
